I had Vista sp1 pre installed on two machines..it worked OK ( but no better than OK ) after much tweaking..it is still on one machine ( my son's 3D Dev' machine )that I haven't had time to move it off and do all the reinstalls that he would need if I moved him to 7 ..it isn't connected to the web..no win boxen here are..( apart from one old one running XP for testing older IE on sites and running skype on.and the XP is heavily winlited so if "hosed" can be re_installed very fast ) Vista is very unwieldy compared to 7..

All others are dual boot mint linux and win7 if they are connected to the web ..only the linux sides get used when the router is connected..and there are two others running win7 ulti only..they fly..so much more pleasant to use than Vista..dual screens on all

Just finished installing Adobe's CS6 master suite on one..went beautifully ..very pleased ..means I can avoid win8 ( tried win8..awful interface, more problems than I can be bothered with beginning to name if you want to create rather than consume with win8 )..I think MS have shot themselves in the foot with win8 ..at least as far as those who do any creative work and or the business sector with software running windows OS..

Tablet and phone "me too" dumbed down touchscreen interface OS.. shoehorned into desktops and servers..against the wishes of almost everyone in the latter two markets..
