I just had a random thought as I read this....

Microsoft was actually smart in releasing Windows ME.. NOTHING could ever be as bad, as quirky, as ill tempered, as crash inclined as that sorry excuse for an operating system.

Actually, I've had good luck with Win 7 for my clients. I had a couple with old 16 bit apps and running them under the 64 bit version was a challenge. It was a good excuse to get them to migrate from the 16 bit dinosaurs.
