wah i love 7
never really had a problem with vista but I do like 7 more.... prob my fav version of windows.
8 has me on the fence....they keep shoving this metro interface everywhere, but as long as you can ditch it and get back to the desktop im cool with it. To me it just seems MS is chasing apple 20 miles down a 5 mile road. They need to remember tablets and rubbing your fingers on a screen are never going to take over the universe.... so don't alienate people that use a keyboard and mouse just because touch is the new hot thing NOW.
Also is it really the new hot now? or are these companies chasing each others marketing departments? People who buy android tablets are returning them for real computers that do stuff because all the commercials mislead people into thinking they gota have a tab.
They buy one say WOW, the wow wares off pretty fast and they are wondering why they just spent 500 bux on this stupid thing.
if MS leg humps the tab to hard like they kinda already seem to be they could blow their face off.
Im just keeping my fingers crossed and telling myself its just the developer preview and it has a long way to go until release.
I watched the build keynotes and it looks solid but they kept going back to that stupid metro interface and touchy for 80% of the damn thing. Ok guys bravo you did touch....you made an interface for a tab, cool. show us like you show us all the other features and lets keep it moving.
But if metro is what they are trying to force feed windows users as the future of windows.... see ya later guys im out. I won't be using stupid metro on 3 large LCD screens.... im also never going to be rubbing my fingers on my large LCD screens either. I will be moving to linux and i'll keep windows 7 around for games and i'll wash my hands clean of MS.
So I see 8 as they'll nail it or blow their face off.
