Here's a short story perspective on the Yahoo! story from a journalist in The Toronto Star this morning (who I presume is a remote worker herself). I thought it was interesting that it's the featured front page article at the moment but after reading it I didn't think there was an extraordinary revelation in it.
She has a feeling that this isn't about productivity issues but rather that employees are being brought back into the fold to assess them. She speculates that it may be due to an upcoming reduction of staff. [thestar.com...]
