In what appears to be part of a massive layoff, the Yahoo Search Relevance Testers have been fired [sfgate.com].

"Yahoo started its week with layoffs in Sunnyvale," an employee tells us. "Seems to be affecting the editorial team that does search relevance testing."

Rumor is that search groups in India have been laid off as well.

Probably just preparing for the inevitable Bing integration and eliminating redundancies.
