I know it's going to sound negative and repetitious but any and all social interactions should be through distributed peer-to-peer web applications. The nosey folks at for-profit mega corporations cannot be trusted. No thanks Microsoft but thanks for the offer anyway.

It's like there is a new one popping up every month somewhere. People's attention is already fragmented enough trying to keep track of all their user accounts and passwords scattered everywhere.
