Microsoft Announces Surface: New Family of PCs for Windows [microsoft.com] Today at an event in Hollywood, Microsoft unveiled Surface: PCs built to be the ultimate stage for Windows. Company executives showed two Windows tablets and accessories that feature significant advances in industrial design and attention to detail.

Despite all the hype that went into the announcement I'm not sure what to think about this yet. I guess we'll have to wait for pricing details to see what sort of uptake this unit will have...

It does look to only be available in the US market first. No word on other markets.
