They will. Just like Vista had a "classic start menu" checkbox, Win8 will do the same, despite the sky-is-falling press you're seeing now.

I just want to see more desktop improvments, instead of kind of shoving it under the rug. I don't even care about losing the start menu if the metro menu works better cool... but also lets not make it this jarring feature. (( does aero peek still work? cause its very handy ))

It would be really cool to have win8 in a phone, tab, laptop, desktop... but lets make it a little less disorganized.


also what was the point of metro'ing the server as well? im pretty sure admins don't need such an interface.. they just got done releasing a version that allowed you to boot to a powershell with ZERO GUI, now this? huh?
