I'm not a fan of the Live brand either. It's weak.
The issue here is that they had 2 similar programs; Mesh and Sync. Mesh was the stronger product. It had better brand recognition among the people who used the products.
they need to get into the online docs game before Google walks away with it. ;-)
You haven't seen Docs [docs.com...] or heard of their tieup with FaceBook? [facebook.com...] or perhaps seen their free online version of Office [office.microsoft.com...] ?
