It still amazes me that no-one really gets what this is all about.

It has nothing to do with the tablet. It has nothing to do with the iPod or iPhone.

The success of this product line for Apple is about nice hardware meets content distribution (eg, iTunes).

Without iTunes, iPod, iPad etc would be nowhere.

Microsoft shouldn't worry so much about the platform as they worry about how to distribute content.

Or to look at it another way, they don't need a rival to iPad. What they badly need is a rival to iTunes.
