Cool, Ballmer actually did something usefull... He gave us a neat sounding acronym for four of the countries I'm most likely to block from sites that allow user input...

I think I'll call it the "BRIC Block"...

Oh... wait. I should add in Nigeria too...

Uhh... Seriously though. Should we be overly impressed that countries that, added together, represent more than half the world's population now account for 5% of Microsoft's revenue? Sure, it might be an improvement, and there's certainly room to grow, but we've been hearing about the "surging" consumer markets in China and India for over a decade now.

Call me a sceptic, but I'm gonna hold off on brushing up on my Mandarin until I see a bit more evidence.
