@Kendo, these are players for web video. They allow you to embed videos in your html page (unlike windows media player). Traditionally they are Flash players, now they are HTML5 players too. That means if you put a movie on your server people can watch it with any device, without Flash or some other player installed. When you assume/require that the end-user has some 3rd party thing installed, you will lose some (or many, in the case of Flash).
