We are exploring the possibility of adding non-hosted, syndicated video content to some of our pages. The videos would be very targeted, matching the content on the page and referring keywords/user intent. The main purpose for adding this content would be increasing user engagement. At this point, I just have a few high-level general questions:
Can syndicated video be optimized for SEO benefit in any way?
Can syndicated video negatively impact SEO?
Any general, best practices for integrating non-hosted, syndicated video?
