I've been doing a great deal of research into video optimisation and the benefit it has on search over the last few weeks.
I now know best practice for optimising and creating the videos themselves, where to put them and what to do with them. The question I have is, how does creating a video and publishing it benefit your overall SEO strategy? Does publishing a video affect your brand in SERPs? What other tertiary effects does video SEO have?
