FinalCut Pro is Mac only.

The main cross-platform options are Avid and Adobe Premiere.

Avid used to offer a free version for XP (and Mac) if you can find a copy.

I just don't have the patience or time

Prepare to be disappointed.

There are many other software packages, but I wouldn't class them as professional.

They might do what you need, though.
