I have over 100 videos on my site. Let's say I post one of them on youtube with the same title and description and do a search a short time later. The youtube version of the video will be ahead of my video on my domain site.

If I do a search a few days later, the video aggregators will be placed ahead of my site, but not ahead of the youtube version of the video. The video aggregators only have the youtube video version and none of my domain site videos.

I am trying to find out WHY aggregators get placed ahead of content providers in the search listing when they didn't create the video. I placed the video on youtube hoping to drive some traffic to my site. Initially when I saw that my video was on video aggregator sites, I didn't see a problem figuring that the more people that saw it, the more chances people would see it and go to my site.

I am grateful that every aggregator maintains the description of the video in youtube on their site except for one (which I don't like).

I am not sure that all these aggregators are hosting the videos on their site. What is the purpose of these aggregators anyway?
