As an example of the power of web video:

When Google first introduced the custom search engines (google co-op) I set up a little niche search site. It averaged a few dozen searches a day.

Then I put in a simple bit of code to simultaneously produce a strip of dynamically produced screenshot-links of youtube videos, that play on the site at the top of the page when clicked.

Wow, almost overnight the searches increased to several hundred and now up to 1400 a day. People want multimedia now!
