In the case with linking I believe what people say (Anchor) is more important than from where (PR) they say it. Is there ever enough?

Dynamic vs. Static - appearance is all. It’s difficult enough to teach people so I tend to keep it simple. Dynamic links whether they are spidered or not tend to throw people off. For those with first level knowledge the link itself looks confusing, putting potential partners off. <added>see [webmasterworld.com...] for an example</added> Second, as dynamic links have not traditionally been followed or registered consistently, although I do see examples showing, I’ve personally discouraged those new to linking to spend any time on getting them. Linking is so time consuming that you have to give yourself a prompt list to filter out possible partnerships. Dynamic links are top on my filter out list.
