it doesnt appear that the owner of the other site is realy commited to his site. If he was he woudl have at least replied to your emails. Makes you wonder if he will even notice the link being removed from your site. To be honest if the other webmaster is selling the site you may be better off not linking to it. because it could be sold tomorrow have invisable text plastered all over it and have a pro by the next update. In the end-up it could take you down with it. I would play safe and remove the link. It is really up to you as to weather you inform the other site of your decision.
