A good starting place is to create a profile of who the typical researcher for your product is. Create a profile of the typical person that contacts you for more information about the product. There could be more than one profile. Then create a list of kinds of sites where they would be likely to hang out. Study those sites to see what kind of relationship you can create with them.
B2B keyword queries can be low. But you could be able to increase traffic and earnings by targeting where your potential customers hang out on the web. That's link building for traffic and, just my opionion, for b2b it plays a more important role than it does in other niches that have more search queries associated with them.
