I have just used a back link checker and noticed that overnight our site seems to have gone from 20,000 links to 225,000 links!

I have no idea where all this traffic has come from and we certainly haven't been buying any links but I am aware that search engines will see this as suspect.

Has anyone else ever experienced anything link this?
