Haven't done link exchanges for 3 or 4 years now, not worth the effort. If something deserves a link it gets one, otherwise it doesn't.

Agree with LifeinAsia that trying to hide with Javascript, nofollow, block with robots.txt etc is just more trouble than it is worth - never could see the point of that. In fact it was people behaving in that sort of underhand manner that really got me to give up on all link exchanges.
