I'd like to SEO my site for a "web directory" but also "category-name directory" phrases.

Can you advise how should I have my members link back to me?

I used to do:

mysite.com/member-profile-page-link.html

but recently switched to:

mysite.con/web-directory

does it really make a difference?
What would you do?
