Ted's idea is a very good one. In fact I've created another new blog recently, and my intention is to populate it primarily with interviews from experts. When i publish an interview I'll then go chasing links for that interview - everyone I know will get a link beg. So the interview will help the 'popularity' of the site....and the popularity of the site should help me get better folks to interview. There's an author in my industry who's got a new book coming out in October. I'm going to approach him for an interview. He should bite, because he'll get to plug his book. But then I've got this well known author interviewed as one of the opening posts on my blog - I let everyone know, get some links, and awaaaay we go! Also, I'm lazy so I'll let others write my blog articles :). that's the plan anyway.
Well, if you're doing it for link bait to your client's sites, then I'd say your best bet is to figure out how to publish it directly - even if it doesn't fit naturally in the site design.
