Every time you recipricate a link you remove some of the links power.

I get the feeling that people seem to expect "link juice" to circulate around their site's internal navigation like a perpetual motion machine giving each page an extra boost every time it is spidered. Heaven forfend that there should be any leakage from this cycle.

Personally I let the "link juice" trickle through my site and linked sites are welcome to share what's left when it reaches my links page. Less to worry about, less bytes on the page and still top place on key searches.
