It is like hunting!

The weapon to use depends on the size of the wild animal to capture.

When I found an easy place to be linked (e.g. sites that have links of your competitors, or a section regarding what is your site about) I send a standard request.

When I find a very interesting site (sites having excellent PR, linkpopularity and that are themed with my sites) I spend time to analyze the site and I try to send a request as much personalised as possible.
