from thesaurus.com [thesaurus.com]

The GoTo Keywords tool reports 111 requests for vinculum in July 2001. A hidden treasure.

I did learn that vinculum also means marriage and all of that type of bonding -- important keywords I have grossly overlooked.

Two things from this new train of thought:

one) in the quest for keywords, the thesaurus is a great tool. It seems most basic to me at this moment, but I don't think I gave it much credence in the past

two) in the never-ending search for links, as all of us, I run into pages and pages with "links" in the title. Sometimes, I gently advise those webmasters to consider using some other term for such pages. This has been met with a loud Thud! BT, not that you have nothing else to do, but what about a page on WebmasterWorld or SEW where the case could be made for such an idea. A page titled, "You Lose if You Name It Links", an editorial, or an "informational page" which we could attach to our own link partners which would help make our case with your authority.

So far, it does not entirely look as though this whole "links in the name" thing is killing anyone, but the subject came up . . .

Vinculumly yours,

pshea
