I have Prevx installed on many machines and it's never given me any problems plus it's a fantastic bit of kit to use when presented with a machine riddled with all sorts of garbage.

I'm puzzled as to why both 17 and 16 are crashing since most of my office equipment now have 16 and all running Prevx without any problems...hmmm
