Not sure why you're printing so much vs. saving as XPS, PDF or something similar.

Anyway, never really seen that kind of a problem with Firefox printing so I'm not sure if it's just specific websites causing your problem or perhaps various printer drivers not working properly.

What kind of printers are you using?

I suspect the software that comes with HP, Canon or Epson gear tends to work better than some of the others.

FWIW, my wife got her dad some all-in-one scan-copy-fax-printer for about $50 from the bargain bin at some office store and wondered after the fact why it didn't perform so well. There are reasons stuff like that ends up in a clearance bin priced less than a tank of gas.
