I've got flash running in opera ..with 217 tabs open.
config:
Opera version
11.62
Build
1347
Platform
Linux
System
i686, 2.6.28-11-generic
( and firefox when I use it ) ..But it is 32 bit my browser will ID itself here as
Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686; U; Linux Mint; en) Presto/2.10.229 Version/11.62
if I leave it vanilla"..
I had it working fine in 64 bit ..but as this machine is only used for the internet and only has 4 gigs RAM I brought it back down to 32 bit as Linux runs a little faster in 32 on 4 gigs RAM than in 64 on 4 gigs RAM..
Opera at 217 tabs uses about 1.6 gigs RAM..and about 3.2 gigs RAM in swap..and is very very fast..
250 tabs open will crash it..mainly because my CPU ( AMD athlon 64x2 dual core 4000 ) will then be at over 90% per core..and actual RAM use will go over 2 gigs and swap at nearer 3.7 ( which is all 32 bit linux can "see" if set up normally )
Given the holes in 32 bit ( agreed , indeed there are ;-) I wouldn't be running 32 bit adobe on a windows box attached to the net..or at least not for long ;)
