Okay - went back to the places I got my scripts and did some checking. They're all for IE5+ or Opera, not a one of 'em for anything else in the way of a browser. Guess that answers THAT question!

So logically, the sites I browse to other than my own where js isn't working are in the same situation: only for specific browsers, not all of them.

I don't write js or anything like myself; wonder if there's a script-site out there with better browser coverage?
