Thanks FW but what you recommend was already tried many times including re-installs, creating new profiles, running CCleaner, rebooting. There isn't a suggestion within support.mozella about bookmarks, profiles, and new installs that I have NOT tried.

Thought all was finally working after a 5th new install and another new profile was created, but I was wrong. FF is now using the new profile, but bookmarks are still being lost and/or not created.
