In addition to your observation (default in toolbar), the answer is Yes, as they needed to keep Microsoft's IE and MSN out. .. and for the record, FireFox is alive. DMOZ not. But, you forgot to mention the IRS officials that will be out of business!
$75M is a lot of clicks... 2. Did Mozilla give Google preference in it's FireFox browser for monetary gain? that should be enough for health care, highways, schools, etc.
