Is there a way to do a "target=" attribute to open a new TAB instead of a new Window in Firefox?

One thing I hate about my own site is that there are a few areas that open a new Window and as a FireFox user I always have to remember to right-click them to open in a new TAB instead of a whole new browser window. Is there any universal way to make it open in a new TAB if the surfer is using Firefox, but to make it open in a new WINDOW in all other browsers?
