It's been argued that the Tab Browser Extension has bugs and that it changes your FF installation in ways that Mozilla hadn't intended. It certainly has a lot of options, but I just found it confusing and poorly documented. Tabbrowser Preferences may have been useful in older versions of FF, but you can recreate much of what it offers by using the Mozilla tabbed browsing tweak recommendations:
I used to be a fan of Tabbrowser Preferences and Tab Browser Extension, but I no longer use either of them. There are better ways to use tabs in my opinion.
I also add the SessionSaver [extensionsmirror.nl], Tab Clicking Options [twanno.mozdev.org], Undo Close Tab [extensionroom.mozdev.org] and miniT [v2studio.com] extensions and then I find that I have almost all the same tabbed browsing features that Opera has.
