I think most people who are willing to pay for a browser are willing to pay to upgrade. Looking at some analog stats from one of my sites I see 14 Opera/6 requests out of 79440 total Opera requests and no Opera/5.

Maybe my site looked so bad in Opera/6 that the one poor user decided never to return.
