In this thread [webmasterworld.com...] jecasc mentions Google blogger not being available via Opera and I have gotten the same mesasge when trying to use Adwords via Opera.
I am offered a choice of Chrome, IE, Safari or Firefox - so it appears that Googles services are only available through browsers that are in the pocket of one of the megacorps (Google, MS, Apple - okay Firefox is not strictly megacorp owned but it has been very strongly linked with Google at times)
It is this kind of behaviour that makes it obvious why Google is the subject of Antitrust investigations in the EU see [webmasterworld.com...]
IMHO Google with all its resources should be opening its services up to more browsers than most other companies and supporting smaller browser developers to ensure their browsers can corectly render Google's products rather than penny pinching in this area to add a few bucks to their bottom line.
Over the years Opera has been one of the most innovative of the browser developers and has consistently been on a par with the best - and it doesn't crash as regularly as many of its competitors or become resource hog like some we could mention. I just don't see why a major corporation such as Google would withdraw its support.
