Opera seem to have listened to a tiny bit of the advice given - the tab bar color scheme seems better and the find text bar is reduced in height. Sadly...
The navigation bar is still too high.
Default configuration of the navigation bar is still very poor.
Find whole words doesn't work properly - who tested that?
Also, the find options available after clicking the binocular button don't match and both bars can be visible simultaneously - yikes!
I still can't find a way to change the spell-check dictionary (to UK English) - does anyone know how to do this?
The menu bar is still not displayed by default - it seems there are sheep working at Opera.
The menu bar font is still not displayed properly (only tested in XP so far)
Still no Ctrl-Click to open a link in a new tab. (I know about shift-click.)
Providing keyboard options for migrating Firefox users would be easy and worthwhile if Opera want people to actually use their browser.
However, whilst my previous tests (of the beta) were in new directory, it's now overwritten the old installation so the changes I mentioned might not be real.
I am largely fed up with Firefox (because of bugs that never seem to be fixed) and would like to switch to Opera, but still can't. Why is that?
Kaled.
