I downloaded Opera 9.2 a while ago and right away I noticed this strange new Speed Dial [help.opera.com] feature on new, blank tabs. But I'm such a creature of habit that I just ignored it until recently. Then I started thinking about Oper'a great record on usability options, so I thought I'd investigate Speed Dial a bit.

Wow, this is a very cool time saver for me. I've got one of the nine panels set to my webmail account, several set to the WebmasterWorld Forums that I check all the time, and so on. Speed Dial is like having 9 different Home Pages. It's allowed me to de-clutter some of my toolbars by removing bookmarklets for frequently visited web utilities.

I've often said that using Opera gives me an extra hour in my day - now it's even more. Just one further evolution on my wish list - I'd like to be able to edit the title of each Speed Dial panel. Just as it is with the need to edit titles in Bookmarks, many pages online don't have the friendliest title tags for this application.
