[theregister.co.uk...] Senior programmer Yngve N. Pettersen said in a Usenet message today, that there will be no fix made for Opera 6.05. According to a Secunia [secunia.com] advisory, there are exploits running in the wild. Clearly, from the log files here, the majority of Opera users have not upgraded to Opera v7. V6.05 still out paces v7 by two to one. Many have found v7 quality level to be lacking. They have found many bugs that may stop them from using it on their system. For example, v7 does not work with Logitech mouse drivers. This leaves us with a serious delimia in that we can't upgrade, and can't continue to use the current version (v6.05).
Opera released v7.03 today to address a long filename issue that could allow malicious web sites to gain full control of the users computer.
