Alrighty, I installed Revolution and started poking around.
Although I'm familiar with MODx Evolution, I haven't used Revolution before. I'm certainly not a novice user, but much of the jargon and interface is new to me. I did not look at any help docs so I had to figure stuff out on my own.
I haven't figured out much, but I did make a pretty neat discovery that should take care of the jargon problem.
Under "System" in the top bar there is an option for "Lexicon Management."
You can change the displayed value for anything in MODx in the lexicon or add new values.
I changed 'Resource Alias' to 'Page URL' and 'Long Title' to "Title Attribute Text". I also modified the mouseover text for those items.
The Lexicon is fully customizable. It would be time-consuming, but definitely possible to change every term your users see to something more intuitive.
Also, under "System" there is also an "Actions" manager...here you can control, move, and remove different actions for your users. For instance, you can drag and drop "manage users" so that it's under the "User" tab instead of under "Security."
