As I say, I wish someone *would* show me where I'm wrong. Like you, I found ModX 0.9 fairly simple and intuitive, but I just can't get my mind around 2.0. I find it interesting to compare what's happening in Drupal. After Drupal 6, the Drupal team hired out some usability testing at a top usability lab. The results were shocking. People couldn't do simple tasks and were baffled by terminology. So you see their terminology changing from "Users" to "People" as a result of this. I think Drupal still has a ways to go, but it's encouraging to see things moving in the right direction (though I don't like all the changes in D7). But it's bedeviling to see ModX moving towards jargon. I understand the rationale - a resource is a more general and thus accurate term since not all resources are pages (I guess), but it's completely a developer perspective. I guess if the final version allows for easy string translation, you could translate pieces in the admin interface and make it easier for users. We'll see.
