We are planning a new website and the issue of compatability has come up.

It is to be a B2B B&M site, replacing a current site which is getting on a bit.

Currently the stats show:

1. Internet Explorer 70.96%
of which: 1. 8.0 64.44% - 2. 7.0 23.11% - 3. 6.0 12.45%(9% of total)
2. Firefox 17.67%
3. Chrome 5.92%
4. Safari 3.42%
5. Opera 1.14%

So my feeling is we should have compatibility from IE6 to IE8 and Firefox and Chrome.

What do you do / think ?
