I was just having a discussion with my lead developer and I was reviewing an application we are building. I noticed that he had the data in Ascending order and I asked him why? He said that is usually how he'll set it up. Hmmm, I've always worked the other way and would prefer to see Descending by default.

What's your preference? Ascending or Descending.

Ascending = Oldest First
Descending = Newest First

Mine would be Descending
