That is NOT fair. If the editors are not going to do an objective analysis of the site, they have no business evaluating them. The guidelines say that excessive use of affiliate links without substantial content is unwanted. That is fine. But to see a single page with a single affiliate link and penalize the site without evaluating the rest of the content, is very narrow minded. I would like to think Yahoo has more intelligent, open minded people working for them than that, so I am willing to accept the very slight chance that there is a technical glitch and that my site will reappear in a few days. Incidentally, it does not appear to be a complete ban given that all interior pages are still indexed. This could all be a series of coincidences so time will tell.
No, it didnt. My website is 50+ pages of content and an RSS feed I use to distibute my unique content. Three of the pages have two measly affiliate links. Big deal. When I saw the editor moving through my site, they hit the homepage first, then the second page they hit was one of the three pages that happened to contain an affiliate link. They were on the site for 7 seconds. I received a "rejection" notice and the next day, rankings plummeted. The site now ranks #60 for it's own name.
