In the past few months I've been using YPN, site visitors definitely prefer targeted ads. While YPN seems to pay more per click than AdSense, my revenue has gone down. I don't intend to stop using YPN but I've significantly reduced using their ads. I'll keep it that way until things improve. btw, has anyone contacted YPN and mentioned this? If so, what was the reply?
I initially placed Yahoo ads on key pages in my site. Most were poorly targeted, even though I selected an Ad Category and Subcategory. If I place more than one Yahoo ad on a page, like I do with AdSense, the ads are repeated. This morning I put yahoo on a page for "widgets" and not one ad related to the content. Replaced it with AdSense and those ads were right on target.
