However, recently YPN called and emailed me regarding deciding to suddenly revoke my right to use Ad Targeting for difficult to understand reasons about traffic quality. It's tough to understand because it seems most unlikely ad targeting quality could be any better without my assistance. I am quite confused over this. The only conclusion I can arrive at is YPN possibly running out of inventory in some good categories and thus could not offer ads in that catgeory because I had Ad Targeting enabled requiring the well targeted ads. I did notice in the past some ad units had room for 4 ot 5 ads but only 1 or 2 ads appeared. Can anyone think of other possible reasons for this?
My issues with YPN have always been poor ad targeting, often nonsensical ads not related to the site content and keywords. I managed to improve the ads using their built-in ad targeting feature (used correctly) where you can pick the proper category, which resulted in improved targeting.
