---- New Amazon range?

Hm, that reminds me. Is it possible they're moving rather than expanding? For ages I had the whole

:: shuffling papers ::

174.128.0.0/13 range labeled AWS. But a while back I had an apparently human visitor-- that is, an attempted visitor, duh-- from the neighborhood and went back to re-check everything. Far as I can make out, Amazon AWS is down to 174.129 alone. Much of the difference is server farms and ThePlanet, so blocking wouldn't hurt either way, but there are some legitimate IPs as well.

There's a really amazing haha lot of IPs with some kind of Amazon connection. At various times in the past I've flagged

23.20.0.0/14
50.16.0.0/14
50.112.0.0/15
67.202.0.0/18
75.101.128.0/17
107.20.0.0/14
174.129 (including ia_archiver)
184.72.0.0/15
204.236.128.0/17

Can't remember what it was about Netcraft that offended me, but the name shows up a lot in connection with AWS. Maybe it's time to recheck them all.

There's also
27.0.0.0/22 (Amazon-Japan)
72.44.32.0/19 (the actual Amazon, I think)
184.169.128.0/17 (ditto)
I've met an Amazon-Germany too, but can't find them now.
