As mentioned in the opening post, te user-agent is:
Mozilla/5.0 (en-us) AppleWebKit/525.13 (KHTML, like Gecko; Google Web Preview) Version/3.1 Safari/525.13
Seen here coming from 74.125.66.nn (possibly what you refer to as an "empty-DNS IP").
