Analogous maybe: when asked to give directions, Google maps (the regular civilian version) starts me about half a mile away because they insist on using West Mystreet Ave. instead of the correct (no modifier) Mystreet Ave.

Anyone do business in the part of Manhattan where both directions are numbered, distinguished only by Street vs. Avenue? That's the first place I'd look for the classic "They've put my business in the middle of the East River!"
